Question:  How can I find out the address on the 1880 census?  The census taker carried over the street name and number from the previous page and gave it to everyone on the next page.

Answer: Someone asked if I knew the enumeration district.  So I googled "How do I find the enumeration district on the 1880 census?  One of the web sites was https://www.nypl.org/blog/2016/07/08/genealogy-tips-searching-census-address , which explained "What is an Enumeration District?" and "How to find an address and generate an ED number," which led me to Steve Morse's website:  https://stevemorse.org/census/unified.html. This is how I confirmed that the people in the 1880 census were my great, great grandparents.
